About Us

Morning Worship is held at 11.00 a.m. throughout the year, although there are now occasions when all three Church of Scotland congregations in Forfar hold united services. During the summer months there is a 9.30 a.m. service in one of the Church buildings in the town and an 11 a.m. service in an other.

Communion Services are held on the fourth Sunday of April and October at 11.00 a.m. with a second service at 2.30 p.m. The second service is shorter and perhaps more suitable for senior members of the congregation. It is however a service which is open to anyone wishing to attend.

After morning worship, on the first Sunday of every month, September to June, there is an informal celebration of the sacrament.

On Wednesday mornings there is a service at 10.30 a.m. in the Lower Hall which lasts for about 20 minutes. After the service there is time for refreshments and fellowship.

A crèche is provided for the under- threes each Sunday of the year.

If you are interested in considering membership of the Congregation the following guidance will be of assistance.

  • For those who have been members of other Congregations merely hand your disjunction certificate to the Minister, or into the Church Office, and we will be in contact to welcome you to our fellowship.

  • If you want to become a member of the Church membership, meetings are held on a regular basis. They enable those considering membership to discuss the responsibilities membership imposes, and then decide if they want to go forward into membership of Christ's Church.

  • Anyone interested in joining one of the Membership meetings should contact the Church Offic.
